Meet the Team

Nursery Manager

Kathy

My name is Kathy and I have worked in childcare for over 30 years now including working as a nanny, working in nurseries, working as part of the early years team for a local authority.

More recently I was in charge of a Sure Start Children’s Centre before becoming the manager of Little Faces Nursery in 2015, where I also worked as a nursery practitioner 17 years ago.

I have a range of early year qualifications including a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childcare and a BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Training. I also hold an Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS).

I have a grown-up son and a daughter, who are both currently studying, so I fully appreciate the time and dedication that is needed when bringing up children. As a parent we are the child’s first educator and the important role we play will lead to the child’s lifelong learning. My hobbies outside work include reading and kayaking.

I bring excitement and enthusiasm to my job role and find working with children extremely rewarding. I am therefore looking forward to seeing your children grow and achieve and I know that we are going to have lots of fun along the way!
